Introduction

I have been meaning to do this for quite sometime but didn't know how to get started. Anyways, I will start my hospitalist blog from Monday after I introduce myself.

I am 29 years old and am currently practising as a Hospitalist somewhere in Indiana for the last one year. I finished my residency in Internal Medicine in July 2008 and also serve as a voluntary faculty member at a local medical school.

Now some words about my job. I work 7 days in a row and then I am off for 7 days. Every alternate week, I work night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am. In my 7 days off, I dont see any patients so my blogs would be scanty in those 7 days. I work with three more hospitalists who have have unique personality traits which I would elaborate in my blogs. I am hired by a hospitalist company rather than being directly employed by the hospital.

I expect non medical people to follow my blog too so I will try to avoid medical jargon and if medical terms are used, they would be explained at the bottom of the blog.
